Membership
There are four classes of membership open for application:Fellow memberAny medical practitioner, scientist or other personnel who has shown a continuous interest in histocompatibility and immunogenetics for not less than three years as evidence by publications, teaching or attendance at conferences on histocompatibility and immunogenetics and is engaged in work related to histocompatibility and immunogenetics. Each Fellow Member is required to take an active part in promoting the objects of the Society. Associate memberAny person, corporation, medical practitioner, medical professional, scientist or laboratory personnel who is interested in histocompatibility and immunogenetics but who is not qualified to be a Fellow Member. Such members shall enjoy all the privileges of the Fellow Members except the power of voting and holding office in the Council. Company memberPartnership or other Unincorporated Associations, Limited Companies, Associations, Public Authorities and Institutions or other Corporate Bodies who shall satisfy the Council that they are directly associated with histocompatibility and immunogenetics. Such members shall enjoy all the privileges of the Fellow Members. No Company Member shall be entitled to vote at General Meetings nor to hold any office in the Council.. Overseas memberAny person or corporation who is normally resident outside HKSAR and whose candidature for Overseas Membership has been approved by the Council.
